Job DescriptionKAEFER UK & IrelandWhen it counts, count on us.Location: GSK IrvineContract Type: PermanentThe OpportunityAs a Scaffold Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out advanced scaffold duties as well as supervising a team of scaffolders, ensuring the company’s scaffolding operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner in line with client requirements.This role comes with a broad range of responsibilities that include but are not limited to:> Ensuring the correct documentation is included within the PTW, such as manual handling, COSHH, W&H rescue plans> Allocating accurate and efficient daily allocation of labour to work fronts as per timesheet> Ensuring that the implementation of appropriate working procedures is strictly adhered to and ensuring that everybody under their control is provided with such instruction, information and procedures as defined within the management system as means of control> Verifying overtime is accompanied with an approval email/ request prior to conducting the time/ works> Coordinate with the manager the material resources requirements ensuring unused material is reduced to a minimum and any additional request is made through the correct procedures and with adequate notice> In addition to these duties, as scaffold supervisor you will ensure that all current health and safety standards and procedures are understood, maintained and adhered to at all times and that all operatives work in conjunction with Health and Safety Work Act, Working at Height, PUWRA, COSHH Regulations and other applicable legislationThe PersonTo be considered for this role, you will have in-depth technical knowledge of the scaffolding industry, including standards and regulations with demonstrable experience of having managed teams and projects in similar fast paced and evolving environments.As a time served scaffolder, you will be a proactive thinker with the ability to identify resources and solutions to effectively prioritise and plan workloads and coordinate your team effectively to deliver the requirements of our client.Essential:> SSSTS> CISRS Advanced Scaffolding Card> High attention to detail> Effective communication skillsWhy KAEFER?Our mission is clear: to be the most reliable and efficient provider of technical industrial services.KAEFER UK & Ireland provides a large and growing range of industries with asset integrity services including access solutions, insulation, inspection & testing, protective coatings, asbestos management and more.
