Sample Courier - Weekends

Our ClientWe are delighted to be working on this part time role with Scottish Water where you can be based anywhere in central Scotland.Your new roleTechnical logistics forms part of Scientific Services and the role involves picking up samples from various Scottish Water depots and other businesses and delivering them to Scottish Water's laboratory in Riccarton, Edinburgh for analysis.Transportation is carried out following documented procedures, and records of collections and transportation conditions must be kept.Duties will include:Collection of water samples within a geographical area and transportation to the laboratory utilising the recognised Scottish Water conditions and proceduresBooking in of samples recording all necessary information into mobile devicesResponsible for correct labelling and logging of relevant informationResponsible for the delivery of stocks of bottles and sampling supplies to depots Scotland-wideResponsible for planning to meet timetables and meeting needs of SW Scientific ServicesResponsible for vehicle upkeep including cleanliness and daily quality checks What you'll need:Current driving licenseGood record keeping skillsEffective communication skillsWorking Knowledge of Health & Safety RegulationsBasic IT computer literacyWork PatternThis is a weekend role where you will work 9.30am - 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
You will collect a van from Scottish Water at Riccarton on a Saturday morning and will keep it until you return it at the end of your shift on the Sunday.
