We are looking for an upbeat, friendly, and confident Sales Support Executive to support clients, and assist the software sales teams here with improving their sales processes and productivity, plus doing some low-level add-on sales in areas like licence renewals, IT support contracts, additional modules, software training, and product upgrades. Some knowledge of, or experience of working with Sage 200 is essential, as the solution is quite complex, plus there are lots of third-party add-on Sage products to get to grips with.
Base salary is up to £32,000. The work environment is hybrid, and you get a £500 allowance to help set up your home office, with your working week split between home and their new state of the art office between Billericay and Basildon in Essex. On top of that you get up to 30 days holiday, fully funded technology training for Sage 200 and Microsoft products, health insurance, free lunch once a week, and 2 weeks a year of personal development and giving back to the community or giving to charity days. The job is very varied; you will be the first point of contact, answering inbound calls from clients and inbound emails, and the first point of contact for the Account Managers when they have issues or queries about a client and the sales process. You will get involved with tracking sales leads, coordinating quotes with sales packs, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with managing customer accounts.
You will be monitoring sales and the performance of the sales team as well as recording sales data and will identify bottlenecks in the sales processes and come up with ideas for solutions, create sales tracking documentation, ensure the sales team is on track to meet their goals, and be creative with your own ideas for selling add-on services to customers yourself.
This job could lead you into a career as an Account Manager or Account Director, or into ERP consultancy and implementation, depending on which route you're interested in. There are about 140 staff here; the company is still growing, and promotion prospects are excellent.

Background:
You have a cheerful attitude, and are confident, outgoing, and great on the phone as first point of contact for customers
Knowledge or experience of the Sage 200 accounting and ERP software solution
Experienced working with Excel, and can prepare quotes and reports
Strong understanding of the sales process and assisting a sales team
A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
Good analytical, listening and negotiation skills
