Sales Manager

We are supporting a fast growing business in their search for a dynamic and driven Sales Manager to support and manage their existing sales team.

This is a new role to support the MD and Sales Director. The main purpose of this role is to manage and continue the growth of the sales team.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for employee development and recruitment to support the business.

Responsibilities:

• Support development of strategies and initiatives to ensure long term business growth and customer retention.
• Lead, organise, manage and inspire the Sales Team to meet and exceed targets.
• Support leadership team with business relationships with organisations and end users that help deliver long term growth.
• Set guidelines and make decisions on resource prioritisation.
• Promote cross selling and upselling of the Groups products and services.
• Manage the business forecasting process including monitoring and reporting.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships at high levels.
• Develop and maintain sales management processes.
• Ensure training plans are supported and delivered.
• Directly manage and develop Account Managers.
• Develop and support a culture of continuous change and process improvement through the sales organisation.
• Ensure full compliance with legal and Company requirements.
• Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven track record of leading and managing successful sales teams (2+ years).
• Experience in the energy/insurance industry is preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrate ability in strategic management and leadership.
• Experience of using standard business reporting tools, inc CRM systems.
• Computer literacy essential with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Excel, Work and PowerPoint] essential.
