Sales Executive

Objective
The Sales Executive is required to proactively solicit new business as well as grow contracted accounts within the hotels identified market segments and in line with the hotels budget and strategy.
The role requires the tenacity to hunt for new business to achieve set goals, the focus to capture market share away from the competition and identify new business that the competition is yet to penetrate.
At the same time a high level of organization is required to effectively account manage a portfolio of existing accounts, across the corporate segment as well as the ambassador of our Reciprocal Club members.
The role is based on property in prestigious St. Jamess, with a potential of international travel throughout the year in the future. As one of St. Jamess ambassadors, the Sales Executive will conduct 360-degree sales activities to ensure client and guest satisfaction, leading to repeat business.
Primary Responsibilities
Account manage and grow a portfolio of existing corporate accounts as well as Reciprocal Club members.
Achieve a set number of telephone and face to face appointments weekly/monthly.
Ensure reporting of sales activities and progress being made is shared weekly/monthly, displaying accountability for actions and results.
Conduct site inspections, familiarization trips, client entertainment to showcase the property.
In absence of Meetings & Events Coordinator, cover the duties.
Work closely and proactively with appointed sales representatives, SLH and Althoff Collection.
Manage the corporate RFP under the supervision and support of the DOS.
Manage the re-contracting and rate negotiations of all local corporate accounts.
Communicate clearly and openly with all departments, to ensure guest requirements are met and wherever possible exceeded.
Approach day to day work with creativity and an out of the box mindset.
Stay on top of the competitions and markets offering, remain knowledgeable of upcoming competitor investment, new openings within the market.
Work closely with the Revenue and Reservations Manager to ensure rate loading and inquiries are converted.
Ensure compliance to all hotel policies, procedures, programs.
Undertakes other adhoc related responsibilities, as required/requested within the sales department or other departments as required.

Technology proficiency Fully competent with current Windows based programs, MS Office Products (Word/Excel/Outlook/Power Point).
Immaculate personal appearance is required.
A confident and professional approach is essential.
Ability to work in a pressurized environment and being flexible.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team.
A minimum of one year of experience in sales is required.
Must be a UK citizen or settled EU/Other UK resident with VISA/right to work in the UK.
