Would you like to be involved in the children’s books industry? If so, we want to hear from you!Sweet Cherry Publishing is an independent children’s publisher based in Leicester. We are now looking for an office-based Sales Executive to join our team. You’ll work alongside the Head of Sales to service
relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors and sales agents to support sales growth and market development for our growing range of books.Key skills and characteristics for this role are high quality communication skills, strong negotiation skills, excellent mathematics and currency skills, confidence to present and pitch, and a keen willingness to learn. Main Responsibilities:

Managing relationships with existing clients, distributors and sales agents

Supporting the Head of Sales with lead generation and sales growth

Pitching a growing list of books from an award-winning publisher

Managing a number of sales accounts

Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify key areas
of growth and territory penetration and delivering reports to the Head of
Sales

Overseeing the invoicing and logistical operations process for key
accounts

Assisting with order processing, sales reporting and payment allocation

Some travel and weekend work will be required to attend a number of
book trade exhibitions each year

Providing commercially-sound and market-proven feedback to the senior
management team and creative teams to support the development of new
products
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications:

Excellent communication and pitching skills

Experience in a publishing sales role

Ability to prioritise key tasks in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of the different types of sales accounts

Strong research, negotiation and communication skills

A willingness to drive business forward

A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn

The ability to work from your own initiative

Drive, energy and a passion for promoting reading for pleasure
