A leading British manufacturer supplying its products to the logistics and transport industry, both internationally and within the UK, are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their established sales team. The company has recently undertaken new management, and this person will be a key component in fulfilling their aspirations of increasing revenue by 10 million and growing the business further.

The business is paying circa �35k plus benefits including career development and training, pension scheme, 34 days holiday (including bank holidays), early Friday finish.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, working with new and existing customers you will be responsible for putting together competitive quotes for all technical sales enquiries and providing technical support.

Sales Engineer Responsibilities

  • Acting as first point of contact for customer contact through all communication channels.
  • Producing accurate quotes/estimates based on understanding customer requirements.
  • Contacting customers once quotes have been sent, maximising sales opportunities.
  • Taking a proactive lead in developing new business as well as existing accounts.
  • Be the technical expert for all products, to then be able to provide technical support to customers.

To be successful in this Sales Engineer position you will have:

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer with a good balance between technical understanding and sales.
  • Worked within a production and manufacturing industry.
  • Experienced in the use of AUTOCAD
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills
