Sales Director

As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing our sales operation to drive business growth by targeting a wide portfolio of customersStar Power is on an exciting journey and is one of the fastest-growing generator hire companies in the UK.Our new Head Office is based in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire and with our sister company, Star Platforms, we currently have eight depots across the company – Bristol, Northwest, Kent, Luton, Reading, Midlands, Anglia, and Southwest with ambitious growth plans for Star Power within these depots.We are looking to appoint a Sales Director who will lead and develop our sales operation to achieve our sales goals and objectives. This is a crucial role for the Company – if you are a leader with a strong commercial sales background, excellent communication & relationship building skills then this could be the opportunity for you!The main responsibilities of the role include:· Develop and execute strategy plans to achieve/exceed sales targets.· Introducing customer base to create a fully national Power business,· Manage and monitor all sales in Star Power.· Lead, motivate, inspire, and guide the sales team to achieve their best performance.· Establish strategies that aim to improve overall business success across the sales function.· Devising and implementing new business initiatives and sales strategies and monitoring their effectiveness.· Overseeing the company’s sales growth by evaluating sales reports and capitalising on products and services.· Recruitment of sales professionals to assist and maintain the long-term growth of the business.· Securing large accounts with the sales team and negotiating contract agreements with customers.· Presenting sales figures to the board and updating on sales growth against company targets.To be successful in this role you will possess:3+ years’ experience of working in a senior sales management role ideally within a generator hire or construction environment.Connections to industry specialist in both Sales and Operations who can be introduced to Star Power.A strong customer base to bring revenue into Star PowerStrong negotiating and sales skills.Sales focused with a competitive nature.Experience of managing a multi-site organisationIn-depth knowledge/understanding of sales practices and processes.Outstanding leadership, managerial and motivational skills.A proven background in senior sales management with an understanding of mechanical and electrical Engineering.Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.The ability to create and maintain good relationships with customers and colleagues.Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative, and practical solutions.· Private Medical Insurance· Company Pension Scheme· Profit Related Pay Scheme· Company vehicle/car allowanceJoin our journey and become a part of our success story.
