We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Director to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Evesham, UK (Head Office), with their manufacturing site being in Batley. As Sales Director you will play a pivotal role in our client's culture-driven business, leading the sales team to achieve and surpass targets in a fast-paced, and high service level expectation market.As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to maximise the markets potential. This role requires strong leadership and strategy, excellent people management skills, and experience in B2B sales management.This is an exciting opportunity that involves National travel across the UK, as well as worldwide travel as the company grows.
Key duties and responsibilities.... Collaborate with the SLT in setting and delivering the company's sales objectives and budget targets. Lead and inspire the sales team, providing coaching and training to close skill gaps and foster a high-performance culture. Working with the Sales managers developing Sales Strategies for both the Product and Retail divisions. Work with the Design team in building sales strategies for the release of newly developed products. Work to build the EU sales presence, increasing sales in targeted countries. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and pitches to prospective clients, nurturing relationships and closing deals. Conduct revenue opportunity valuations, identifying potential growth areas and implementing strategies to capitalise on them. Ensure accurate and efficient management of sales data for strategic decision-making and to drive growth and profitability. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the sales team against key metrics, providing feedback and implementing necessary corrective actions. Collaborate with other departments to align sales efforts i.e marketing, product development, and procurement. Proactively identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging opportunities to continuously refine and develop sales strategies.
Proven experience as a Sales Director or similar role, preferably in a similar market model (not limited to Point of Sale). Experience selling into retailers essential
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a sales team, inspiring high performance and achieving sales targets. Excellent IT skills and proficiency in analysing data to inform strategic decision-making and drive growth and profitability. Strong business acumen with a track record of implementing effective sales strategies. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels. Results-oriented with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes. Professional and presentable, with excellent presentation and pitching skills. A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required. The ability to travel Nationally and Globally (at least once a month) Hours: Mon – Friday – (flexible 8am – 5pm) Salary circa £100k (£90k - £110k) + Bonus up to £50k Car / car allowance Healthcare Free lunch Company events
