The Radisson Blu Athlone Hotel, part of The INUA Collection of Hotels , is now recruiting for a Director of Sales to join the team. We are looking to recruit a colleague who is passionate about the hospitality industry and the customer experience.
Key Responsabilities:
MANAGING THE HOTEL'S ACTIVE SALES FUNCTION
To achieve the MICE & Corporate Room sales budget for the financial year.
Meets overall budgeted sales by soliciting, evaluating, selling, and confirming business.
Responsible for generating leads through proactive telesales & monthly sales calls to achieve MICE & Corporate Room Revenue budget.
Proactively research and develop relations with National Conference Organisers in conjunction with the Group Director of Corporate & MICE Sales.
Secure new business for the Hotels Banqueting Suite by securing events such as Concerts, Sporting Functions, Charity events, Company Events etc.
To actively manage the Sales and Meeting & Events team.
To manage the Hotel's top 10 Corporate accommodation accounts by conducting regular account reviews whilst ensuring the Hotel is part of the company's annual corporate RFP and that the Hotel corporate pricing strategy is protected.
In line with the corporate account process to identify and contract new corporate transient accounts.
Develop local business client relationships to ensure that the Radisson Athlone is well represented.
Attend Chamber and other networking events to ensure exposure of the hotel in professional networks.
Assist in hosting quarterly/annual corporate events.
Manage the Hotels “Mindaclient” to its full potential.
Conducts best-in-class site inspections and strives for 90%+ for the Sales Department mystery guest audits.
As and when needed to participate with the iNUA Collection Sales team at trade shows, workshops, sales blitz’s and consumer events.
Attend bi-annual sales & marketing meetings with the Group Director of Corporate & MICE Sales to map out and agree on priorities for the next 6 months or as business needs change.

Assist General Manager in producing monthly MICE revenue forecasts.
EXPECTED SKILL SET:
3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of the Irish MICE & Corporate market.
Up to date with the latest trends in Hotels MICE Sales.
Proactive and creative personality, with an analytical approach to problem solving.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and networking skills, internally and externally.
Ability to multi-task, whilst remaining calm, under high pressure and tight deadlines.
