MBL Seminars is a leading provider of learning and development for professional service firms, corporates, and public bodies. With over 800 expert speakers covering more than 2,900 different topics, our training portfolio is vast, and is delivered in person, online and via a growing subscription platform.

Key Responsibilities
Role Overview:You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to maximise opportunities in the marketplace. You will have a strong background in subscription sales management, a proven record of driving results, and experience in developing sales systems, process and people required to achieve our ambitious business growth plans.
A servant leader, you will be the back prop to our Head of Memberships and our Key Accounts Director, ensuring both they and their teams are equipped for continued success.
The role is hybrid/remote and previous experience of managing and building remote teams is essential. You will be required to travel to Manchester for regular SLT meetings, wider team engagement and social events.
New business / new logo acquisition
Develop sales team structure and systems to leverage market opportunities.
Sales enablement
Pipeline optimisation to build consistent performance.
Pitch & proposition development
Sales team training & coaching.
Measurement & analysis of sales performance to identify opportunities and risks.
Go-to-Market execution
Partner with:
Product Marketing to establish and optimise the sales funnel to drive consistent sales performance.
Customer Success to develop the customer experience and engagement across the subscription lifecycle. Using customer health metrics to drive strategies and tactics to embed in the workflows of our customers and drive usage resulting in improved renewal rates in line with our strategic goals.
Platform, Content & Technology to ensure our subscription proposition keeps the client at the heart of product plans and continues to drive revenue growth into the future.
Market Analysis
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities and customer needs, to continuously refine and enhance sales strategies.
Leadership
Build and develop a sales team that is recognised as a market leader in its field.
Employer brand - attract and retain the talent needed.
As an SLT member, lead on cross functional projects.
Motivate and Inspire teams to thrive in a changing environment.
Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the sales team, driving individual and collective growth.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business success and expansion opportunities.
Budget
Lead annual sales budget planning, and weekly/monthly reporting.
Present a compelling argument and business case for investment opportunities that support business growth.
Ensure effective resource planning
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Excellent leadership and development skills
Highly collaborative with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Client relationship and partnership skills.
Experienced in developing sales process and systems (Salesforce beneficial).
Forward thinking and innovative.
Data analysis skills (Excel essential and PowerBI preferable)
Persuasive communication and presentation skills
Growth mindset with a passion for learning
Subscription sales background, preferably in learning and development platform / edtech space
Experienced working remotely and leading remote teams essential
