Sales Director – Manufacturing ProductsAttractive base salary + Car/ Car Allowance + Uncapped BonusGreater Belfast/ Greater DublinOur client, one of the UK & Ireland’s leading Manufacturing Products providers, is hiring a Sales Director to help grow Sales, additional margin and manage an established Sales team. Based in the Greater Belfast or Greater Dublin areas.Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Sales Director to drive and manage the continued expansion of the group’s businesses.The successful candidate will have at least ten years’ experience in business-to-business sales roles in a manufacturing environment, of which at least five years will be at Director level.The role will have primary responsibility for sales growth within the group and whilst increasing sales is important to the business it is ultimately additional margin that is the key driver for the business.Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this is a new role and will take over managing the current sales team, which consists of five account/ business development managers and two sales support.The location of the role has a preference for Greater Belfast or Greater Dublin areas.(For a breakdown of the company and its group of businesses please contact me directly)Your RoleFormulate and implement sales strategies to increase the group’s sales and profitability.Manage and develop the group sales team to get the best results from the sales team.Provide leadership to the sales team to source leads and develop new business opportunities.Working closely with the Group Managing Director to develop new products, new markets and new materials for the group.Gathering market intelligence on competitors.This person is a key member of the group management team.Your Skills10+ years sales experience, with a strong track record of sales management and business development success in an industrial B2B.5+ years’ experience at Sales Director level or equivalent including managing a sales team, meeting and exceeding sales targets.Experience of working in a structured sales environment including CRM systems and sales pipeline management.Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.The ability to build strong relationships with both customers, the sales team and group operational management.Self-motivated with an ability to work on own initiative.Ability to find out and understand customers’ requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.Numerate with the ability to review and understand costings, pricing and margins.Willingness to travel within the Ireland and the UK.A third level qualification in a technical subject or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.What’s in it for youCompetitive base salary, to reflect the successful candidate’s level of experience.Uncapped bonus (expected on target equates to 20% of salary)Company car/ car allowance, laptop and phone.The opportunity to drive forward a business that is set up for growth.Should this position be of interest to you please forward your CV to Marty Caskey at Abrivia.
