Our Commercial team plays a critical role in onboarding the biggest brands onto the GEEIQ platform and setting our subscribers up for success on their virtual world journey. As a team, we are on a mission to attract, educate and support companies who are building and scaling their virtual strategies. We believe that the best in class companies need a data-led approach to achieve short and long term success in this exploding space. What you’ll doWe are looking for a Sales Development Lead to focus on enterprise/mid-market prospects. This is a new position which will play a crucial role in our team's continued growth, by driving increased revenue of our subscription business.Leading a team of two SDR’s, you will be facilitating initial conversations, developing team wide best practice and you will be an integral member of our commercial team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating excitement about GEEIQ, in addition to meeting your own individual quota of qualified opportunities.We’re looking for an individual seeking an opportunity in a scaling organisation. You’ll have the freedom to think outside the box so you’ll need to be self-dependent and really organised. Managing a team of SDR’s where you’ll nurture team development through best-in-class practices.
Work with your team on territory development. Together you’ll prospect, identify, initiate, develop and nurture business relationships and opportunities in market/target accounts to generate new business opportunities.
Meeting an individual quota of qualified opportunities for the commercial team.
Perform outbound communication through email, social platforms and by phone.
Identify key decision-makers, determine buying readiness and timelines.
Create account maps and strategies – ensure quality and well-researched opportunities.
Strategise with account executives on the best approach to close new business.
Capture and manage information/data/metrics in Hubspot.
Provide feedback to marketing on what conversations/content work well and what is not working, seeking continuous improvement.
Product feedback – you’ll be the eyes and ears of the company. What do businesses say? What are their objections and questions? What are their blockers? The more we learn from you the more we can optimise our product and approach to ensure we are successful.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience as a Sales/Business Development Representative or in a similar role.
At least 12 months’ plus proven experience in outbound sales, with an understanding of sales and prospecting techniques, using them to your advantage.
Individuals who are passionate about the virtual world and have a genuine interest in working for a high-growth company in an exciting industry.
A passion for sales with experience selling into mid-market / enterprise level clients.
The ability to speak to a varied range of people and decision makers at different levels of the business.
Top-notch communication and interpersonal skills & a knack for building rapport and meaningful connections with prospective clients.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.
Positive attitude with the desire to work in a rapid-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Someone who is target driven, with consistent quota achievements of qualified opportunities for the commercial team.
