Job Overview
We’re looking for a highly driven, disciplined, and experienced Sales/Commercial Director to join our team and lead our efforts in expanding our market reach and driving new sales growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the ideal candidate will have a healthy understanding of, and interest in technology and innovation and how to sell this to help transform organisations. Experience within consultancy or proactive customer-centric settings with proven skills in influencing and building relationships with stakeholders from Engineering to CXO level will be key for this role. We are looking for a leader who will be excited about championing the long term commercial success of OpenCredo, helping to build customer partnerships, implement growth strategies and evolve client portfolios to drive meaningful impact for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & business growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth
Relationship building: Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision makers and technology leaders within target markets and industries. Proactively build and nurture relationships with both prospective customers and market influencers, creating near and long-term opportunities for growth in our areas of expertise
End-to-end Sales: Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a smooth transition to the delivery team
Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials to support sales efforts.
Pipeline: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers through networking, referrals, and other channels
Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to the CEO and board on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights
​​Partnerships:
Work closely with our technical as well as other internal and external delivery partners to identify, pursue and manage opportunities to further expand the volume of leads and opportunities
Leadership:
Lead and evolve the existing sales team in pursuit of high performance growth
Client experience:
Be a trusted advisor to our customers, promoting long-term, scalable relationships, and influencing/informing customer strategies and decisions around technology
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in ‘hunter’ sales
with a proven track record of building and converting a large sales pipeline, providing complete transparency to the wider team to enable sustainable growth.
Strong ability in master value selling
with the ability to adapt to different customer types while proactively mentoring other customer facing team members to ensure customer confidence and trust is retained.
Solid understanding of business and the application of technology
to optimise processes and enhance customer service and profitability.
Extensive experience in technology
A bias for scale ups and SMEs with a clear understanding of and ability to
thrive within high pace, agile and rigorous settings,
ensuring near to mid-term results are achieved while building the capabilities for long-term success.
Comfortable working with all levels within a business , from team member (e.g., Software Developer) to C-Suite, with high levels of empathy for their priorities and decision-making influencers.
Committed to the long-term plan to scale the business
with a willingness and appetite to rapidly pursue early gains while contributing to the long-term strategy.
