Job Title: Sales Back Office Manager 
Location: Norwich
Salary: Up to £45k Depending Upon Experience
My client are a major manufacturer of special purpose machines in the food industry with products sold and installed around the world.
To manage the function of the existing internal sales team.
Handle customer enquiries, generate costings and compile technical proposals. Integrating other company brands as required.
Have / develop an understanding of company  Equipment, Line Make Up’s and the technical aspects of combining company  equipment in complete lines.
Develop and maintain internal systems to facilitate cost management and proposal costings including price lists.
Maintain and keep up to date equipment costings for use in quotes and proposals.
Develop, maintain and audit sales process systems.
Maintain and develop commercial data management, customer details and opportunity tracking within the Customer
Management Software system.
Manage the internal and site trials process.
Develop and facilitate the marketing requirements of the sales department
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage the Commercial / Technical Support Function.
To provide commercial, sales and technical support to the frontline sales team, including costings, proposals, quotations, project plans, equipment / line make up and presentational material.
To support both internal and external stakeholders in terms of technical aspects of projects, project documentation and planning.
To provide and manage a technical and commercial portal for allocated multi brand projects, ensuring timely and accurate sharing of information and feedback.
Track speed and accuracy of each discipline against current targets. (KPI for proposal from initial Request for Quotation (RFQ) and submission for approval is 72 hours or less).
Knowledge of company equipment, their function, their interaction and combinations
To manage the development and maintenance of the company’s CRM system.
To manage, develop and maintain the company’s pricing and proposal / quote costing information / structure.
To compile factory and line layout drawings to support the production of customer proposals.
To assist with Project management on larger scale projects.
To provide support for corporate exhibitions and events on a Global basis.
To continuously develop the department procedures and best
practice in the support of the business, Customers and third parties (where necessary).
To facilitate the marketing function both within the company and externally.
 LIMITS OF AUTHORITY
Any conflict or dispute regarding technical, or commercial matters should be referred to the VP of Sales, whose decision will be final.
All expenditure should be controlled within budget levels and approved by department management.
No commitment shall be given to capital expenditure other than that sanctioned by department management.
GENERAL
The role is Norwich office based with a split between pre and post-sales support. Occasional travel both domestically and overseas is a requirement of this post.
The Sales Back Office Manager is expected to always promote the best interests of the Company. Additionally, there may be a requirement to undertake other duties in the post and department as well as those mentioned above or, another post in the Company.

COMMUNICATION WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS
It is expected that the title holder shall endeavour to exchange important information on a frequent basis with all other departments through or with agreement of the Commercial Function.
