Our well-established Manufacturing client based in Halifax, West Yorks. are looking to recruit a highly experienced Sales & Purchasing Manager with extensive Shipping experience to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently and securely, and oversee the sales and purchasing department.THE ROLE:
* Supervise and lead IS&P team, providing guidance and training as required.
* Oversee and coordinate daily activities, including order processing and shipping to ensure timely and accurate execution.
* Responsible for Sales Orders processing, ensuring accurate pricing and product details included.
* Oversee shipping process, providing troubleshooting and problem-solving support to the team as required.
* Resolve operational issues and customer complaints in a timely manner, demonstrating problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Utilise data and analytics to generate reports and KPI's to provide insight to senior managers.
* Develop and maintain procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Identify areas for improvement to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve the freight forwarding process.THE CANDIDATE:
* Previous experience in a similar role, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Proven leadership abilities to motivate and develop a team.
* Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and carriers.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with customs regulations.
* Strong knowledge of freight and international trade regulations and customs requirements.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
