We are working with a leading provider of innovative, high end, machinery and services that create cutting edge products, renowned for precision, efficiency and reliability. Their machines serve a diverse range of industries including automotive, defence, textiles, fashion, graphics, packaging and more whilst working with some of the globes most iconic brands. With the headquarters being based in Hertfordshire, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Director to lead the sales and marketing teams with experience in the manufacturing or engineering sector.
The business is mature and established in the UK, they have been on an excellent growth journey, doubling its turnover and increasing profitability over the last 5 years. There are still plenty of untapped markets that the company would like to take a foothold in and they have the brand, reputation and network leverage.
The Sales and Marketing Director will report directly to the UK MD, lead the UK Sales and Marketing team and liaise closely with European HQ.
Key responsibilities:
Developing and delivering strategies to drive sales growth. Accountable for meeting / exceeding targets and ensuring the sales team has full guidance and support to achieve success.
Expanding outreach by exploring new market opportunities, introducing new customers, and retaining existing. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive advantage.
Overseeing marketing and enhancing the organisation's brand visibility/ reputation. Assist the marketing team with developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns, advertising initiatives, and digital strategies.
Leading and managing the sales and marketing team. Providing guidance, support, and training to ensure the team is motivated, aligned with the company's goals, and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing any concerns or issues promptly, and nurturing long-term partnerships to drive business growth.
Tracking and analysing sales and marketing metrics to evaluate performance and to identify areas for improvement. Providing regular reports and updates to the Managing Director and the Senior Management Team, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with an ability to drive innovation within an established framework. They will have a proven track record in driving sales growth and developing impactful marketing campaigns ideally with high margin, low volume consultative sales. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and manage a high-performing team, while engaging which key stakeholders to further expand their market presence. On top of this, we are looking for someone to drive strategy as well as take the lead on high value opportunities, who can build strong relationships with current customers and prospects.
The remunerations is circa £85,000 plus an uncapped bonus scheme including personal/team contribution and gross margin elements. A company car or car allowance, private healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday, Free lunch when on site and a hybrid working model.
