The Highfield company are acting exclusively on behalf of a leading structural steel fabricator specialising in steel projects right across the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Business Development Director to oversee all aspects of our structural steel division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel fabrication, project management, team leadership, and business development.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

- Lead and manage the Sales and Business Development division with in the business

- Set goals and objectives for the division and ensure they are met efficiently and effectively.

- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and development.

Business Development:

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the structural steel market.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other industry professionals.

- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for business growth and expansion.

Cost Management:

- Develop and manage budgets for structural steel projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the fabrication process.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field / Desirable but not essential

- Minimum of 10 plus years of experience in structural steel fabrication

- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, and standards desirable but not essential

- Proven track record of successfully winning structural steel projects

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
