Location: Exeter, hybrid working pattern once fully trained.

Rate of pay: �13.93 per hour

Holiday entitlement: 31 days per year (including bank holidays)

As a Sales Account Executive within the Mid-Market Sales Team, you will manage a portfolio of complex, high-value electricity supply customers and be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, whilst attaining value growth from existing accounts.

Your primary objective is to meet and exceed stretching sales targets. The job holder will need to be results driven, with the ability to effectively disrupt and influence customers' thinking and build consensus for EDF products and services, often at multiple levels within customer and/or Third-Party Intermediary businesses.

Account Executives will be required to understand the full scope of EDF's products and propositions and be able to present a compelling case to their client in order to fully realise efficiencies and build an effective partnership.

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to drive strong two-way communication; engage with your customers' senior decision makers by linking their business priorities to EDF's products and services; tailor communication to the customer's needs with authority; effectively create and deliver presentations and facilitate discussions.
  • Able to identify and build connections quickly, with the right customer stakeholders, to drive consensus; work cooperatively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders for deal success.
  • Have experience in proactive development of a customer portfolio to maximise business opportunities and value. Ultimately responsible for all aspects of the end-to-end processes associated with their portfolio.
  • Manage own pipeline of opportunity, seek to explore opportunities to replenish and renew business to ensure portfolio growth.
  • Understanding of energy wholesale markets and risk management methodologies, or capacity to learn these quickly.
  • Achieve targets related to the sale of structured electricity supply contracts and value-adding products and services by growing new and existing accounts.
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to offer unique perspectives on the customer's business and industry.
  • Keep up to date on the B2B electricity industry, business and market drivers. Have clear accountability of customer requirements to enable the business to develop innovative, profitable and sustainable solutions to suit customer needs.
  • Adhere to all agreed policies and procedures to ensure governance compliance and completeness.
  • Deal with contractual queries
  • Build relationships both internally and externally with senior stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong track record in a high performing outcome-based (or sales based) environment and experience of identifying and achieving sustainable long-term deliverables whilst maintaining short-term performance
  • Ability to engage customers and TPIs by linking their business priorities to EDF Energy's value proposition; tailor communication to the customer's needs with authority; effectively deliver presentations, facilitate discussions through strong communication skills.
  • Able to identify and build connections quickly with the right customer stakeholders to drive consensus; work cooperatively with a wide range of internal stakeholders for portfolio success.
  • Able to research and develop a deep knowledge of customer and Third-Party Intermediary businesses, current economic and industry trends, and potential new business opportunities.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex sales products and financial scenarios.
