About the job
Working with the Crime and Intelligence analyst, in this role you will be key to analysing our crime and security data, delivering security and crime intelligence to keep our customers, staff and properties safe and secure.
Apprenticeship Standard: Level 3
Please note, you must be between the ages of 16 - 18 at the commencement of employment to be considered for this young talent apprenticeship.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Analyse crime trends and present actionable intelligence to provide advice or more effectively manage security resources.
Create intelligence products to identify risk and vulnerabilities across our network.
Make appropriate recommendations for the deployment of security resources.
Present intelligence and evidence to the leadership and law enforcement partners.
Promote intelligence sharing with internal and external stakeholders including law enforcement partners.
Bring to the fore, innovations in crime threat intelligence to enhance the capability and reputation of the organisation as an industry leader.
Provide training and oral briefings to staff and leadership as required.
Liaise and provide an interface with Security agencies and Policing organisations.
Produce and promote intelligence products.
You'll need:
A desire to pursue a career in the railway industry.
Flexibility – this apprenticeship may involve early or late shifts and travel to other areas on our network.
Excellent communication, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
Willingness to undergo training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the role.
A dedication to upholding the company's values and delivering exceptional service to customers
As a minimum, you will need to have:
GCSE grade 4 or above in English and maths
About the location
South Western Railways HQ is based on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, a stone's throw from the River Thames and a 10 minute walk from our busiest station, Waterloo. It is local to many well-known attractions, restaurants and retail facilities and is easily accessible by public transport.
Working pattern
Working an average of 37 hours per week over 5 days

Additional Information
The programme aims at developing skilled data analysts and you will be fully supported and mentored through your apprenticeship and be given protected time to complete your course work. You will be supported monthly by your business coach, have quarterly reviews involving your manager & attend 18 days of facilitated training to ensure you are fully equipped to start your career as a Data Technician
