Safety Health Environment Quality Engineer - Kenfig -SA13 area.Do you have both the practical skills and office-based experience as a Quality/ New Product Development / Safety, Health & Environmental activities, either in Manufacturing and/ or Construction sectors?Would you enjoy a role with a long-established business in the Modular sector?Company Overview:Wernick Buildings are a leading Modular Buildings company that specialises in designing and constructing innovative and sustainable Modular solutions across a broad range of sectors. We are now looking to expand our team and are recruiting Safety Health Environment Engineer to be based full-time at our national manufacturing facility in Kenfig.Scope:Reporting to the Safety Health Environment Quality Director, you will be working within a small Safety Health Environment Quality team, your experience should include both practical, hands-on skills as well as office-based experience.You will take a leading role and have a knowledge bias towards at least one of the Safety Health Environment Quality disciplines, however, will be active in, and able to support all disciplines.A good standard of fitness will be essential to ensure that Safety Health Environment Quality presence is seen across the operation, applicants should be aware that a significant portion of time will be factory floor based and will include occasional physical activity.The successful candidate will have a close working relationship with Commercial, Technical, Manufacturing & Construction Teams, and where appropriate, suppliers, sub-contractors, and external parties. (i.e. Certification bodies, Clients). As a Safety Health Environment Quality team member, you can expect daily direct involvement with the factory and Construction Teams. Developing, defining, verifying, maintaining, and continually improving processes and products will be a continual theme.Ideally you will have Modular Construction Quality & Building integrity experience, particularly fire integrity including Passive Firestopping, fire door integrity and fire strategy.From a Health, Safety and Environmental perspective you will have a good understanding of legislative requirements and be able to conduct and deliver effective risk assessments and safe systems of work.A good understanding of SHEQ Management systems, ISO (phone number removed) and Continual Improvement methodology is preferred, and you must be able to thoroughly conduct investigations and identify root causes/corrective actions. Training delivery will feature heavily, and you will also support the team in its recruitment and induction activities.The role is suitable for candidates who are currently operating as a Quality, CI ; Product Development, Health Safety Environment officer or Health Safety Environment Coordinator.This is a full-time position with occasional travel within the UK. You must also have a flexible approach to occasional additional hours.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A combination of Safety Health Environment Quality/CI/New Product Development skills or a knowledge bias towards one or more of these disciplines.
* Qualifications, typically HND/C, NEBOSH, C&G, CQI, Six Sigma, Lean principles etc.
* Proven track record of working in Health, Safety, Quality and Environment activities
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent IT skills, typically MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
