Join our dynamic Safeguarding and Learner Support team at Seetec Training as a Safeguarding & SEND Specialist and promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for our learners, colleagues, and partners by providing the business with high-level safeguarding support. With the backing of our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you'll manage referrals and cases using our CPOMS tracking system and be a specialist within the organisation for supporting learners with learning difficulties and or disabilities including those with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs).

Our ideal candidate will be Trained to L3 DSL Designated Safeguarding Lead with a strong understanding of safeguarding and PREVENT within apprenticeships.

Location: Remote

Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover)

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure the CPOMS safeguarding reporting system is used effectively to record incidents and monitor open cases to ensure the correct level of support has been provided to the learner at the point of need

* Be the Lead DP (Designated Person) for the training business including carrying out reporting for the business area and escalating cases or deputising for the DSL when required

* Ensure learners with a declared learning difficulty and or disability are provided with appropriate interventions and resources to help them be successful

* Lead on the learner support funding regulations ensuring the organisation has clear and appropriate evidence that is recorded and claimed for

* Lead all EHCP meetings where learners have a formal plan in place to provide consistency in support

* The creation and delivery of a range of Colleague and DP development and learning materials to ensure policies are effectively implemented and levels of awareness and self-sufficiency are improved and maintained

* Contribute to the Training SharePoint site for Safeguarding and SEND materials ensuring they are up to date, visible and support colleague development requirements

* Deputise for the DSL where appropriate

Skills and Experience

Essential

* Trained to L3 DSL Designated Safeguarding Lead

* Strong understanding of safeguarding and PREVENT in an apprenticeships context

* Good stakeholder engagement skills with evidence of influence and achievement of results

* Good knowledge and experience of Ofsted requirements, inspections and ESFA compliance

* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload

* Excellent problem-solving skills

Desirable

* SENDCO qualification although training will be provided

* Experienced at providing supervision sessions for DPs
