We are looking for a Safeguarding and Health & Safety Manager who will be required to oversee and ensure the implementation of effective safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures, providing a safe learning and working environments for all employees and learners.� You will be required to lead on all aspects of policy and procedure in relation to safeguarding.



Your key responsibilities will include managing safeguarding and inclusion, ensuring staff are appropriately qualified and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard whilst ensuring this supports the strategy, providing assurance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.� You will be required to work with the Health & Safety Officer (Estates), lead on the provision of advice and guidance to the company, its directors, and managers, on health and safety matters.



Working closely with the Quality Assurance Team, co-ordinate any English or Welsh Government external audits. Oversee the accident investigation process and support with any contractual issues that arise from these investigations.� You will carry out risk assessments for employees, employers, and our Training Centres, working closely with the Human Resources Team and the Estates Team as required.� To establish and maintain good working relationships with external advisory bodies and other organisations deemed relevant.



You will be required to lead on the advice and guidance for our staff in relation to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I), Safeguarding and Prevent to establish a culture of safeguarding across the organisation, working closely with regional teams to ensure concerns are reported and dealt with to a consistently high level.



Location: Home Based with national travel to centres as required



Salary: �45,000 - �55,000 per annum



The ideal candidate will have:




  • Recent experience and knowledge of post-16 safeguarding and Equality Diversity and Inclusion legislation.

  • Level 3 adult safeguarding certificate or equivalent

  • At least 3 years previous management experience in a Health & Safety role

  • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent

  • Good working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

  • Good IT skills, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Driving licence and use of a car
