Team Leader – Motor team – Liverpool

RTA team leader (Pre-litigated) – This is a team leading role for an experienced RTA fee earner. The successful candidate will work directly with the Operations Director of defendant motor as well as the technical manager in more of a strategic role. Whilst you will have your own caseload, your main responsibility will to be to lead and supervise others whilst driving culture and efficiencies throughout the department.

Reports to: Technical Manager and Operations Director
Previous experience: Proven pre-litigated and / or litigated RTA experience as a Paralegal, Litigation Executive, Legal Executive or Solicitor. The team handles pre-litigated RTA work. Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would also be useful.
Strategic role within motor team

The main aim of this role is to help improve efficiencies and productivity of the overall pre-litigated RTA team. The key aspects of this role are therefore to:
Work with Legal Ops Manager as well as Technical Manager to ensure team is fully optimised;
Lead and motivate RTA fee earners;
report on team performance;
Conduct 1-2-1s;
provide feedback and identify and areas for improvement;
promote a positive culture of high-performance where everyone is encouraged to succeed
Be involved in all areas of team's development

The main function of the position is to have an overarching appreciation of the team both in terms of its performance and its needs including identifying training requirements and ways to improve performance and productivity.
