Rough Sleeper Coordinator - Internal Only

An opportunity has arisen within the Community Protection Team for a minimum six month secondment role to work on the council commitment to ending rough sleeping within the London Borough Southwark.The Community Protection Service is a team that sits within the Community Safety and Partnership Service which comprises of the Southwark anti-social behaviour unit, Community wardens service and CCTV teams. The role of the coordinator is integral to promote thriving communities and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to work with some of the most vulnerable communities within the borough. About You:Your work will be to support the work of the division in implementing and delivering the priorities of the statutory Community Safety Partnership (CSP) as set out in the Community Safety Partnership Plan, and other community safety priorities as identified in the Council’s Borough Plan. This will include supporting existing projects and developing new projects in the areas of ending rough sleeping, reducing anti-social behaviour, serious violence, violence against women and girls (VAWC), women’s safety and other areas.The post holder will be required to do the following:- To develop new project proposals in response to CSP and Council priorities- To undertake research on new and developing issues; gathering information and intelligence; preparing reports identifying issues and recommendations for management, CSP sub groups or other forums.- To plan, co-ordinate and support partnership meetings such as the Community Safety Partnership and associated sub-groups.- To maintain accurate and up to date records including databases and spreadsheets.For an informal conversation about the role, please contact Ken Dale on 020 ##### ##### or Hannah Edwards on 020 7525 1710Additional salary details We will only consider applications from internal candidates, that are current employees or agency workers on an active
