Room Leader

We are a busy and friendly nursery based in Boscombe looking for an inspiring leader with fantastic organisational skills to manage our pre-school.The main duties of the role are:Recruiting employees and providing ongoing training in best care practicesMonitoring the condition of the nursery and equipment and organising maintenance, repairs and new items as requiredUpdating parents and carers about their child’s progress and behaviourAnswering enquiries about enrolment, payments and practicesDeveloping and implementing an age-appropriate program of annual events and activitiesPreparing the nursery for Ofsted inspections and following inspector recommendationsThe ideal candidate will have a background and qualifications in Childcare and have the following skills:Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage’s welfare, learning and development requirementsUnderstanding of child safety practices including paediatric first aid, safeguarding children and food hygieneLeadership, including organisation, the ability to motivate others and effective decision-makingWritten and verbal communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with staff, parents and caregiversBusiness management, including employee recruitment, developing and implementing training programmes and running meetingsComputer literacy, including confidence using Microsoft Office and record-keeping softwareJob Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: From £13.00 per hourCompany eventsCompany pensionDiscounted or free foodSchedule:10 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Bournemouth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) 4-6 Shelley Road Bournemouth BH1 4HY United Kingdom
