Risk Reporting Analyst
Salary From £34,037 plus Company Car
Full time, 35 hours on a permanent contract
Milton Keynes - Hybrid

As the Risk Reporting Analyst, you will have a key role within the Risk Management team which is responsible for co-ordinating and contributing to the accurate production of regulatory and operational reporting and provisioning of the VWFS portfolios.
An important part of your role will be to ensure that the data from numerous systems and data warehouses provides accurate and valuable reports for your stakeholders who could be the Board of Management (BoM) or Headquarters. You will review, investigate and report on trends and exceptions.
Additionally, you will be proactive in your approach to analysing trends in the portfolio, paying particular attention to shifts in the portfolios that may introduce longer-term risks.
What you will be responsible for:
The production of standard and regulatory reports and associated commentaries for the different VWFS portfolios
You will produce monthly credit provisions data for VWFS portfolios for inclusion in our overall Risk provisions
Production and coordination of monthly analysis pack to the Credit & Lending Risk Committee
Production and delivery of specific internal/ external Audit Reports as required supporting the execution of regular audits the team is subject to
You will act as the first contact for queries on reports, including liaison with Headquarters, Credit Assessment and underwriting
Production of supplementary and ad hoc reports as defined by the Risk Manager, Credit and Asset Risk Director and other members of the Risk Management Team/ Credit Assessment team in accordance with specified timetables
You will have the opportunity to provide support to the Risk Management team with projects and initiatives, identifying new and or developing reporting requirements
Contribute to the continuous development of processes, systems and procedures to further improve efficiency and productivity of the Credit Risk and reporting function
Produce and keep up to date procedures relating to all Credit Risk reporting processes
You will directly liaise with external statutory auditors to justify reported provision figures, explain how provision models work and ensure compliance with latest accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 9)
You will also be involved in providing detailed analysis to support the auditor’s requests for more information and articulate the meaning of the underlying data
Direct liaison with internal auditors to support audit completion and audit point closure
You have the following skills and experience:
You will have great commercial experience within the automotive/financial service industry, preferably in a Risk or comparable analytical environment
Full PC literacy essential, including advanced competence in core MS Office applications, especially Excel and experience using Tableau Desktop/Prep would be an advantage
Proven high level mathematical capabilities and comfortable with large amounts of numeric data and, if you have an understanding of accounting standards, particularly IFRS 9, it would be advantageous
If you had an understanding of VWFS system architecture would be really helpful but not essential
Experience using SQL, Python, R studio (or similar) is advantageous
You have a methodical and disciplined approach to work and you are able to identify trends and exceptions and have the tenacity to investigate
You are a natural problem solver and can analyse issues and work with others to develop solutions
Self-sufficient but also a team player who can build effective working relationships
You can work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines without sacrificing quality and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate at all levels, including Senior Management
You are motivated by new challenges and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment
We are currently operating a hybrid working pilot which requires everyone to work in the office at least one day per week with flexibility if more time is required
