Risk Manager

We have a global footprint, with offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Manila, Atlanta and Cape Town.The Transaction Coordinator role sits in our Credit & Risk team and is a dynamic position. Once we have agreed a deal in principle, the Transaction Coordinator takes a myriad of steps to get the agreed deal through to funding. For each type of deal, the steps are different. For each client, the challenges are different. The role is ideal for the person who gains energy from being busy and is focused on achieving their deadlines. It takes a very particular individual to drive everything forward to the point of funding.In this role, a key element of success is your ability to coordinate and manage transactions and a client's onboarding journey. You will need to learn and understand our credit policies, KYC and AML processes as well as our legal documents and processes, so that you can instruct and encourage people to comply. We favour a cooperative style of influencing, so this role will suit someone who has a range of influencing skills. As you grow with us, you will have the opportunity to broaden your capabilities in this area.This is an ideal role for someone who moved into the investment industry after their studies. You will have succeeded in at least one role since making the move. It takes someone who can hold the big picture in mind, while attending to a lot of details. A meticulous approach is required, but flexibility is also essential. You will have the opportunity to learn, in depth, about several types of deal. You will need to reprioritise constantly to complete each deal. Yet, as we do deals in the UK and the US, two completely different jurisdictions, your knowledge of risk will deepen quickly.You'll learn the ropes from our experienced Credit & Risk team. Your Director sits in London, but you will also be able to lean on team members in Cape Town. Over time we will add other transaction-focused professionals to your transaction-focused sub-team, so you are at the start of something exciting.We are a collective of individuals, working towards a goal.
