Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, model and other risks.
Morgan Stanley is seeking an Associate to join FRM's EMEA Risk Governance Team in London. The role holder will be primarily responsible for performing secretarial duties of Risk Committees, coordinating the review of policies and procedures, and contributing to the Risk Governance team's broader initiatives.

What will you be doing?
Performing secretarial duties of EMEA Risk Management Committees, including:
Proposing and agreeing agendas with the Chair
Compiling and reviewing/challenging meeting packs
Attending and minuting meetings, including following up on agreed actions
Maintaining Terms of References and advising on the appropriate governance for specific topics
Providing support to the primary secretary for senior executive Risk Committees
Co-ordination of annual / ad-hoc reviews of EMEA Risk Management policies and procedures and disclosures, including identifying and agreeing improvements with Policy/Procedure owners and syndication with stakeholder group
Developing ad-hoc presentations for internal and external stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in financial services, with prior experience in areas relating to Committee management and policies and procedures
Excellent business writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality minutes in a timely manner for senior management or external stakeholders
The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
An interest in working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables
The ability to work independently in a self-directed way in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to provide information in usable formats (proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
