We insure some of the UK’s leading landmarks and most iconic locations and, as the largest insurer of Grade 1 listed buildings, our aim is to protect the irreplaceable, a truly privileged position helping to protect our fabulous built heritage!You’ll have a dual role which will involve managing the team and completing desk-top and on-site risk management appraisals and surveys of customer premises to produce assessment, improvement and valuation reports to a highly professional standard. This a thoroughly rewarding opportunity to make an impact within an organisation that gives all available profits to charities and good causes.Key responsibilities Manage the operational direction of a Regional Risk Management team by ensuring activities are in line with overall business plans. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and effectiveness of Risk Management Regional teams to deliver a market leading proposition. Drive and maintain annual survey output levels to meet required service level agreements. Manage the delivery of consistent, highly effective risk services operations. Actively engage with Underwriting and Regional business hubs to develop risk appetite, identify new markets and potential customers. Provide and monitor effective lead indicators in relation to Risk Management programmes recommending appropriate operational efficiencies. Support Underwriting objectives by ensuring the right levels of skills/expertise are being deployed and any adverse risk features are identified. Lead the effective implementation of change management initiatives, new technologies and utilisation of existing systems. Contribute to tripartite relationships at a large and complex case level. Raise and maintain Ecclesiastical’s profile within the insurance and wider markets. Act as a leader, mentor, coach and point of reference for the function. Knowledge, skills and experience
Proven track record in Operational Risk Management People leadership experience Significant influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, acknowledged as a leader in the wider business Ability to effectively engage, communicate and impart knowledge at all levels Innovative and Inquisitive - constantly looking at ways to innovate our operations and proposition Must have a full driver’s licence and be prepared for regular travel ACII qualified (Preferential) Other professional qualification - eg. NEBOSH/IFE/IRM Experience of implementation of significant change to drive performance Proven track record of working across survey and underwriting functions
