Based in London, the role is broad with plenty of scope providing the opportunity to work both locally and as part of a cross-border team.Reporting directly to senior management and the general counsel, this role holds a position of high visibility and significance within the firm. It offers an exceptional opportunity to influence decision-making processes and contribute to strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance and risk management practices are aligned with the firm's overarching goals. Your work will have a direct impact on the firm's reputation and success, placing you at the core of its most critical operations and strategies.Key Responsibilities Include:Conflicts analysis and management.Implementing, maintaining and monitoring risk management policies and procedures on various topics.Advising fee-earners and business services personnel at all levels regarding professional conduct, regulatory and other risk management issues.Responsibilities would extend to assisting with complaints, claims and other contentious Firm issues where experience allows.Key Requirements Include:At least 3 years of compliance experience as a qualified lawyer at a leading international/city law firm.Solid understanding of the SRA Handbook and the regulations/policy practicing laws in England & WalesPragmatic and decisive, with a knack for solving problems, handling sensitive matters discreetly, and excelling in communication, responsiveness, and proactivity.This role is designed for individuals committed to a career within risk and compliance, thriving on the challenges and demands of navigating complex legal landscapes and ensuring the highest standards of regulatory adherence and ethical conduct.The company offers an attractive six-figure salary package, underscored by a well-known culture of support and empowerment.
