We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Compliance Reporting Manager to join us, playing a pivotal role in leading risk and compliance reporting and framework documentation across the First Central group of companies. You'll be an advisor, monitor and business partner - the "go to person" for for all internal R&C governance documents, procedure manuals and handbooks. You'll take responsibility for Risk & Compliance reports, communicating with stakeholders and managing report templates, making sure they are accurate and consistent. Ensuring compliance with First Central's policies and values, and other standards or regulations, including the SMCR Conduct Rules - you'll have a keen eye with great attention to detail!
Assisting with the regulatory returns - you'll ensure they are completed correctly and submitted on time. M aintaining department risk registers, you'll provide evidence and commentary for controls, updates for Mitigation Actions and maintain control matrices and attestations, ensuring colleagues are aware of their responsibility to identify and report risk at all times!

home and being in the office (living a commutable distance from our Gibraltar office is ideal for this role!, we're also open to candidates who live close to Salford Quays, Manchester or Haywards Heath, West Sussex). But of course,

We'd love you on the team if you've:Knowledge of FCA requirements (including individual responsibilities in relation to Consumer Duty) - tick!Substantial understanding of regulatory rules, regulations, principles and codes of practice and of the wider regulatory and legislative framework affecting the financial services sector - they're in your toolkit!Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills - you know how to talk!Good time management, organisation skills and strong attention to detail are the tricks of your trade!What's involved:To manage the production of Risk & Compliance reports for Boards, Audit committees, Conduct Risk Committee and management forums, including SICL and FCIM ManCos, ExCo, and Pillar Governance Meetings.To define, maintain and ensure rigorous version control of all such report templates.To liaise with the Risk & Compliance Director, Chief Governance Officer and the Executive with regard to the drafting, socialisation and finalisation of Risk & Compliance reports, including agreeing key items of commentary and messages with stakeholdersResponsibility for maintaining department risk registers (as applicable), providing evidence and commentary for controls, updates for Mitigation Actions and maintaining control matrices and attestations. Also, to ensure that your employees are aware of their responsibility to identify and report risk.Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all timesEnsure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times, including compliance with the Senior Managers Certification Regime (SMCR) Conduct RulesTo support and coordinate the completion of all relevant regulatory returnsTo act as the central point and coordinator for all internal Risk & Compliance governance documents, procedure manuals and handbooks, in particular the Risk & Compliance Governance ManualTo act as the first point of contact for the Executive, Company Secretarial and FCIM and SICL ManCo regarding Risk and Compliance reportingTo coordinate the attendance of Risk & Compliance colleagues at Pillar Governance Meetings, and deputise for the Risk & Compliance Director in theseTo liaise with Internal Audit, and Risk & Compliance Assurance teams with regard to the effective oversight of action progressionTo assist SICL Company Secretary in all his / her duties and deputize as neededEnsure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times, embedding the delivery of good customer outcomes and the company values.Experience, knowledge and skillsKnowledge of FCA requirements (including individual responsibilities in relation to Consumer Duty)Substantial understanding of regulatory rules, regulations, principles and codes of practice and of the wider regulatory and legislative framework affecting the financial services sectorMaterial understanding of motor insurance products, premium finance and the motor insurance industryRecognised compliance, risk, audit or legal qualification preferableGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood time management and organisation skillsAnalytical thinker with clear ability to distil into key pointsExcellent influencing skills, and credible at a senior levelAbility to question and obtain information from othersStrong attention to detailProblem solving, with the ability to translate issues and find resolutionsExcellent organisation, with the ability to meet tight deadlinesCompetent use of IT and software (i.e. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)BehavioursHigh level of integrity and reliabilityCalm and confident under pressureDemanding and supportiveSelf-motivated and enthusiasticAn organised and proactive approachAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamA flexible approach and positive attitudeStrives to drive business improvements to contribute to the success of the business So, what do you think?
