BCL Legal are delighted to be working in collaboration with this well regarded and multi-award winning Law Firm, in their search for a Risk and Compliance Manager.
Our client's Risk and Compliance team plays a fundamental part in the firm's operational activity and due to its continued growth are now looking to appoint a Risk and Compliance Manager. Within this role you will assume full responsibility for driving forward the firms risk management strategy and ensure that Regulatory and SRA standards are being met.
This is a really interesting role for someone who is passionate about all things "Legal Risk and Compliance" and the perfect time to join as the team are experiencing significant growth.

The Role
· Reporting into the firms Director of Operations the role will include but not be exclusive to:
· Preparing for Audits, reaccreditations and assessments from governing bodies.
· Ensuring that all employees within the business comply with regulations set out by the SRA
· Developing policies and procedures
· Identifying knowledge gaps
· Delivering training
· Conducting risk assessments and internal audits
· Working in close collaboration with senior managers and wider stakeholders within the business
· Drive awareness and understanding of compliance obligations throughout the organisation, including but not limited to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) legislation.
About you
To be considered for this role, you will need significant experience of working in a Legal Risk & Compliance role, preferably within a law firm. In addition you will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of SRA Policies and regulations in addition to a working knowledge of Data Protection Laws and GDPR.
You will also be motivated, commercially aware and work well under pressure.
