Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Construction Manager to join our team. This role will ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of construction projects within highly regulated environments, such as pharmaceuticals. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures for construction projects.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with industry safety regulations and standards.
Conduct safety training sessions for construction personnel to promote a culture of safety.
Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain detailed safety records and documentation.
Communicate safety updates and concerns to stakeholders and senior management.
Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project safety.
Provide leadership in the management of compliance and risk assessment processes.
Lead the development of standardized global quality plans, policies, processes, and systems to ensure continued compliance with external and internal regulatory requirements.
Ensure governance, oversight, and harmonization of all SOPs and regulated documents.
Represent during internal and external regulatory inspections, providing consultation and oversight to audit preparation and responses.
Perform compliance assessments and stay abreast of industry regulatory trends.
Act as the System/Business Owner and SME for all compliance platforms, responsible for training users and leading continuous improvement efforts.
Lead and represent in validation efforts, ensuring consistency with QMS and corporate policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in construction safety management.
At least 1 year of experience in highly regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, nuclear, microchips, or water treatment.
Experience working with regulatory requirements for FDA, MHRA, and other statutory regulations.
Experience leading and supporting audit preparation and response from internal and external audit groups.
Practical working knowledge of computer systems, processes, and documentation required to support regulatory compliance in a Life Sciences company.
Knowledge of compliance requirements for facilities and engineering operations.
Ability to establish strong working relationships with key external contract partners.
High level of personal integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
