Job DescriptionA top 100 UK law firm is seeking a Risk and Best Practice Lawyer to join their team. This is a really exciting opportunity to support the Director of Risk in delivering the firm’s risk and compliance function, provide commercial and legal support, ensure controls remain effective, and manage the firm's claims and complaints.To apply for this role, you should be a qualified solicitor or legal executive with litigation experience, a good working knowledge of the laws and regulations that apply to a law firm, and risk and compliance experience.Key responsibilities will include:Advising on escalated risk and compliance mattersManaging the firm's GDPR complianceDrafting and updating policies and proceduresReviewing the firm’s contracts and retainer termsAssisting with the delivery of firm-wide compliance trainingAuditing client files Managing the firm's claims and complaints and supporting the claims handlerHorizon scanning for legal and regulatory developments and managing the implementation of necessary changesPromoting best practices throughout the firmAssisting with compliance projects Please apply with a copy of your CV or contact a member of our team to discuss this excellent opportunity.
