General Manager - Nursing Home - North London - £90k Position: General Manager Location: North London Salary: £90,000 per annum An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our esteemed nursing home based in North London. This role presents a unique chance to make a significant impact on the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents, while also providing leadership and direction to our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and quality are maintained at all times. Provide strong leadership and management to the multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided to residents, in line with regulatory requirements and best practices. Ensure effective recruitment, training, and development of staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders, fostering a person-centered approach to care. Manage the budget and financial performance of the nursing home, working closely with the finance team to achieve financial targets and objectives. Lead quality assurance and performance improvement activities, monitoring key performance indicators and implementing action plans to address areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including those set forth by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory bodies. Requirements: Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in a senior management role within the healthcare sector, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with residents, families, and staff. Sound understanding of financial management principles and experience managing budgets and resources effectively. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and innovation, with a focus on delivering person-centered care. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing the provision of care services, including CQC requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives. Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
