A bit about the role:
HX is currently in the process of separating from the wider Hurtigruten Group to deliver our strategic aims. A phased separation approach will be implemented over the course of 2024, resulting in HX operating as an independent Group with its own Technology solutions in place.
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, the Revenue Systems Accountant will be responsible for managing the finance system integrations ensuring revenue is accurately reported.
Key areas for the role:
Oversight of finance integrations for sales systems Fidelio and Polar Global, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Collaborate with IT and business owners to resolve issues promptly with an initiative-taking approach.
Provide accurate & timely financial information to stakeholders for the HX Group.
Support the Accounts Receivable Manager to create a culture of continuous improvement to ensure efficient and accurate data in-line with internal and external controls.
Ensure precise, accurate reporting of revenue (gross and net) and associated direct costs in line with IFRS & local GAAP reporting requirements for all group tour operating companies in the HX Group
Partner with the FP&A team to drive accuracy and transparency of revenue reporting data.
Maintain an optimal data integration between the sales systems Fidelio, Polar Global and MS Dynamics, ensuring technical revenue compliance.
The key contact between sales, operations, and finance teams to facilitate communication and alignment on revenue-related matters.
Oversee Master Data Management process in the sales systems to ensure accurate mapping of new ships, products, and VAT.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations with accurate back-up monthly.
Conduct VAT reconciliations between sales systems and MS Dynamics.
Assess the effectiveness of current financial systems and propose enhancement strategies.
Support the Accounts Receivable Manager to build revenue related policies and procedure manuals.
Assisting in the external audit process.
Any other duties and ad-hoc as requested by the Accounts Receivable Manager.
About you:
To succeed in this busy role, you will need strong financial & IFRS revenue recognition experience preferably within a global organisation.
Strong IT experience including system integrations.
Ability to analyse and report large data sets.
Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written), and with a team focus.
You will work effectively and collaboratively across multiple finance teams/departments.
Ability to organise/prioritise work in and around deadlines, workloads, and conflicting priorities.

Education & experience required:
3+ years’ experience in similar roles
Qualified accountant
Advanced MS Excel skills
Power BI experience
Excellent communication skills (both verbally and in written English).
