Role Overview:
As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead and motivate a team, to create memorable interactions and your dedication to outstanding customer service will be the driving force behind the growth of the business.
Attention-to-detail is a core aspect of the role as you'll be responsible for team scheduling, maintaining the store's unique aesthetic and managing incoming and outgoing stock from 60+ makers.
You'll be an ambassador, not just for Curated Makers, but for the hundreds of small creative businesses whose products we stock in our stores and will embody our 'think big, shop small' values to our customers
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a customer-centric shop floor team through training, feedback and leading by example.
- Maintaining a beautiful store with effective merchandising, high standards of cleanliness and strong stock management that enhance the customers' experience in store.
- Managing the team schedule and being a point of contact for the team in emergencies.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels through effective inventory management practices.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication and recognition of team members' contributions.
- Maintaining an organised and exemplary back of house area to ensure no barriers to team productivity and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase foot traffic, reach store goals and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and empathy, striving to resolve issues and exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with the HQ team to execute marketing, events and other initiatives that will drive store traffic and increase brand awareness.
- Report store activity, performance, trends and feedback to HQ.
- Manage store expenses, stock management and financial accuracy, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and maximise profitability.
- Network with and participate in community and partner events to enhance Curated Makers presence, share our values and elevate our customer experience.
- Adapt to the flexible needs of a small growing business, by problem solving and reacting to unplanned moments using initiative.
- Liaising with third parties and contractors, to ensure the store is fully maintained and up kept.
- Creating and facilitating a shopping experience that encourages your team to consistently make the day of Curated Makers customers.
