Are you an experienced Retail Operations Manager looking for a new challenge, with a growing organisation that has ambitious plans for the future?HospiceCare North Northumberland is a charity that provides end of life care, bereavement support and activities for those with dementia across North Northumberland.To fund this work we currently operate 3 retail units in Berwick, Wooler and Amble, alongside an fledgling e-commerce facility. We are keen to expand our portfolio of shops into new areas, such as Alnwick, and to invest in new initiatives such as a furniture store.We are looking for someone to lead our current team of high performing managers and work with our Head of Income Generation to develop the service further. Key Tasks, Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo lead Retail Managers (including e-commerce) to achieve maximum profit and sales targets, via performance management, support, advice, guidance and direction as appropriate.To ensure that HCNN retail processes and policies are consistently embedded across all shops, including pricing, stock control/rotation.To review appropriate data to ensure the Shop Managers optimise sales, Gift Aid and maintain effective stock management and merchandising.To provide cover in each retail establishment for a minimum of one day per week, as required.· To develop and monitor processes for consistent identification of items for resale in shops/auction/eBay, recycling and disposal.Working with the Head of Income Generation and Shop Managers, initiate marketing campaigns and sales promotions to increase income and donations of pre-loved goodsTo lead volunteering across the Retail team, supporting Shop Managers to identify opportunities for recruitment and ensuring consistent inductionTo ensure shops are adequately staffed, setting and maintaining rotas in conjunction with the Shop Managers.To ensure all volunteers are effectively supported and ensure all shops maintain a high standard of customer service, comply with Health and Safety and security requirements.· To support the Head of Income Generation in the development and growth of the Retail function.· To ensure HospiceCare policies and procedures are followed at all times.To ensure Managers fulfil daily responsibilities, promote retail outlets locally and maintain shop interiors in a professional style.To undertake any other duties as appropriate within the competence level and general level of responsibility of the post as required by the Head of Income GenerationFrom time to time there may be the requirement to work outside of normal business hours· To behave in a professional manner at all times, reflecting and maintaining the values and ethos of the organisation and generating a positive image of HospiceCare North Northumberland· To adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure that these are maintained at all timesIf you’d like to speak to someone about this opportunity please contact our Head of Income Generation, Lucy Bell on 01665 606515 or Email: ##### Closing date for applications - 13th May 2024 Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £29,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionHealth & wellbeing programmeSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate: Alnwick: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Retail sales: 2 years (required)Customer service: 2 years (required)Retail management: 2 years (required)Work Location: In personApplication deadline: 13/05/2024Reference ID: NNHC - Retail Operations Manager
