Newly created position within a fast-paced and growing Retail & Wholesale company for a Finance Analyst looking for a role in which you will be immersed within the business.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst, this role will provide support to the Retail Operations division and is a broad role that is a blend FP&A support, ensuring month end is completed and business partnering.
Working with the off-shore finance team, the role will assist with the month end process by ensuring they have the relevant information to enable the construction of monthly management accounts. These will be reviewed and analysed by you and the SFA to provide value-add information to the business unit at operational level.
The role will also business partner the Retail/Operations (individual/cluster/regional & area) and the business to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of the financial information to help drive performance.
This will include:
Revenue Analysis, understanding profitability and helping to facilitate growth
Assisting with driving operational KPIs
Labour/cost analysis
Highlight (and ensure a comprehensive understanding of) risks & opportunities
Stock and margin analysis
Financial performance analysis
Waste analysis
The individual will need to be comfortable with large volumes of data, extracting the information from the analytics platform and ensuring the business is providing with the information in a useful manner. You will be great with numbers, with an analytical mind and commercial acumen.
To be a suitable candidate it is imperative that you have at least 2 years accounting experience, ideally gained within Retail/Consumer Goods/Wholesale or a similar environment. You will have proven analytical skills and the ability to engage with the business.
You will have strong academics and be studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA), and have the desire to be a qualified accountant.
Candidates will ideally have FP&A experience gained within a relevant industry As you will be working with the business you will need to have exceptional communication & strong interpersonal skills, alongside a natural confidence and emotional intelligence that will gain credibility and the buy-in from the business.
