Location: Hybrid, 2 days a week in office and 3 days a week from home.Type: Full Time, Permanent. Standard company working hours are 09.30 to 17.30, flexibility and non-standard hours are required during eventsABOUT THE ROLEThe BFC’s Retail Community Executive is responsible for assisting the Head of Community – Retail, in the development, management, and monetisation of the BFC Patrons with a focus on retention and growth from retailers, landlords, landowners and businesses working within the British retail industry. Our Retail Community Assistant will work closely with the teams responsible for other Members of the BFC Network including but not limited to, BFC Designer Members, BFC Founding Patrons and BFC Colleges Council.They will help execute strategies to create efficiencies around communications, bring our communities closer together. Help with the administration of bringing new businesses in and set a market leading standard of service and care whilst creating a reliable and sustainable revenue stream for BFC. They will assist with the retention and growth of existing Retail Patrons alongside the launch of new propositions that will appeal to new retailers / brands and other business types.This role will explore the opportunity to service our Patrons in a more meaningful and measurable way and better understand and deliver to their needs.The BFC Retail Community role will focus on Retail / Brands / Landowners / Landlords and other business types that contribute to the landscape of British Retail.ABOUT THE BFCThe British Fashion Council (BFC) is a not-for-profit organisation that strengthens British fashion in the global economy as a leader in responsible, creative businesses. Someone who enjoys meeting new people and is able to remain professional in all circumstances, representing the BFC expertly.CompanyWork across internal departments to deliver patronage, events and initiatives in an efficient way in line with BFC objectivesAct as an ambassador for the Patron team to the rest of the business – developing relationships with teams to ensure smooth delivery of Patronage – key departments include events, designer relations and communications.And any other duties that your Manager/Senior Member of the team deems relevantManaging LFW City-Wide Celebration focusing on development and monetisation in line with targets. The focus of CWC is to create a pipeline for growth of BFC Patrons concentrated on retail.Development of Patronage decks and materialsManagement of Patronage team tools including pipeline and CRMProviding detailed insight and research on potential new Patrons including target contactsSending outreach emails and making calls to set up meetingsDeveloping proposals and brainstorming activation ideas with the team Support Head of Community – Retail, in all sales efforts to contract and supporting in negotiating the final agreementBuilding expertise and knowledge on retail sector and sharing of relevant industry information with the teamRunning internal sales meetings / calls and developing relationships to sell in internally PatronageRunning and supporting with new business meetings at BFC events including management of guestsAccount Management SupportSupport with Patron account management - including meeting set up, managing project documents while the membership is live.Market leading service – Assist with providing a market leading service for Members of the BFC Community, focusing on the value exchange between the BFC Member Network and retailersFinance support – including invoicing processing and filing for PatronsEvent support – including ticket management, branding approvals, website uploads and on-site supportAdministrative support – including creating agendas, taking meeting notes and updating team critical pathsAssist with collaborating with Comms to develop the messaging to our Network, improving our communications, content strategy and platform usage and creating efficiencies in our communications tools.CRM support – responsible for keeping the CRM up to date for City Wide Celebration and patrons and for creating lists for send outsKey relationshipsInternal – events, communications and designer relations teams + wider organisationPerson SpecificationSolutions focusedComfortable dealing with internal and external senior representativesA genuine interest in Brand PartnershipsStrong communication and exceptional organisational skillsStrong cross-functional and department Partnership skillsPractices ‘brilliant basics’Confident in abilityTakes ownershipSupportive & helpfulEmbodies a 'we' cultureMakes connections beyond their departmentRespects others' timeSalary & Benefits25 Days Holiday Per Year + Bank HolidaysUpon completion of a successful probation period, you are also entitled to our additional benefits:Summer Working Hours which means that during July and August, our office closes at 3pm on a Friday so you can enjoy the sunshineA half day off on your birthday!Private Medical Insurance with Vitality which comes with access to a Virtual GP and an Employee Assistance ProgrammeX2 Charity Days off per year to give back to your community.
