We are looking for a Corporate Restructuring Manager to join our team.
Job Purpose:
A vacancy has arisen within our busy Restructuring Team and as a result we are recruiting a Restructuring Manager who will be required to oversee cases across the central belt as work demands require. The role will involve administering and supervising a portfolio of formal insolvency cases and assisting with implementing and streamlining new and existing processes.
We are flexible on the Central belt of Scotland for this role, preferably Edinburgh or Glasgow.
TheRestructuring Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to):
Managing and taking ownership of portfolio of straightforward cases including administrations and liquidations
Planning and managing the efficient completion of Restructuring casework for selected cases
Take an active role in planning and agreeing case strategy with senior members of the team
Liaising with property agents, solicitors, other agents and the AIB to ensure case progression in line with the case strategy agreed with the appointee
Perform initial interviews, with Partner/Director or Senior Manager support if necessary, with directors of insolvent companies or debtors
Ensure deadlines, budgets and partner/ director/ stakeholder expectations are met on individual cases
Informing the appointee or other senior team members early of issues and opportunities which will impact on the expected delivery of the case strategy
Ensuring that correspondence is completed in line with the firm’s Restructuring procedures and other relevant policies, and ensuring that more junior members of staff are undertaking work in accordance with these
Preparation of draft reports and updates on case progression to relevant stakeholders including secured creditors, liquidation committees etc
Management of WIP and debtor recoveries across a portfolio of cases
Support business development initiatives locally and across Scotland as required
Depending on the candidate, potentially act as a People Manager for a number of more junior members of the team, supporting and motivating colleagues
Undertake some department wide compliance work in addition to casework which may include care and maintenance of workpacks and IPS diary monitoring reporting
Be willing to be involved in Ad hoc restructuring and insolvency related projects.
About You:
Previous detailed experience of the administration of corporate insolvency cases
Completion of the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency examination is desirable
Excellent working knowledge of an insolvency case management system such as IPS, time/practice management systems
Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Eagerness to work towards gaining proficiency in the use of our firm’s software systems and processes, together.
A leader of your work and your professional learning
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to positively impact and influence others
Flexibility in approach and able to attend client sites as and when required.
