moving forward.What does our Specialist Corporate Simplification
team do?We work with large corporates and owner
managed businesses and their advisers, lenders and other specialists to
wind-down companies. This could include advice on how to:Help corporate groups to rationalise their structures;Develop strategies for the orderly wind-down of solvent business operations;Provide a co-ordinated multi-disciplinary approach to mitigate risk for directors;Extract value from companies for shareholders and stakeholders.Our Corporate Simplification team focus on
orderely wind downs and Solvent Liquidations which includes simplifying
corporate structures by helping clients to reduce the number of companies in
the group and assisting shareholders to realise the surplus assets in their
company.Our clients include large corporate
groups and owner-managed businesses, including high net worth individuals. We undertake and co ordinate a due diligence process on the
companies, identify risk areas and work closely with our clients, other RSM
specialists, external specialists and legal advisors to create and implement co-ordinated
strategies to resolve any issues. We
deliver projects which enable our clients to mitigate risk and wind-down companies
in a professional manner.What can you expect? RSM’s school leaver apprenticeship in Restructuring
Advisory offers top quality career development. The depth of services and
clients you’ll be exposed to will help you kick-start your career. You could be
working with a wide variety of organisations, including large listed financial
institutions, national retail chains, and well known companies, as well as some
of our international clients that operate throughout the UK and beyond. At RSM, you’ll be a key member of our
team from day one. You’ll get involved in client work very quickly, initially
working as part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibility for
projects. Once you’ve completed your initial professional qualifications, the
complexity of your workload will increase, and you’ll have the opportunity to
take on more individual responsibilities and get involved in more challenging
issues. With us, you’ll have the space to grow and be challenged.Alongside hands-on experience, you’ll
benefit from on-the-job training from more senior members of the team and gain
access to our internal training courses that will help you develop in the role.
With our support, you’ll become a true trusted adviser to your clients in the
future.When you join this team, you’ll first
work towards the CPI qualification (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency)
followed by the AAT qualification with the Association of Accounting
Technicians. You will then have the opportunity to study towards the ACA
qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales
(ICAEW), or your Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification with the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) or with Chartered Accountants Ireland
(CAI).What we look forWe’re on the lookout for enthusiastic
self-starters who are always up for a challenge. Corporate Simplification is a
technically demanding discipline which also requires practical problem-solving
skills, so we look for students who are quick to grasp new subjects. It’s
important to have an inquisitive mind and pay close attention to detail. You’ll
often need to review complex legal and technical information;
prepare legal documentation and work closely with our clients so you’ll need
excellent written and verbal communication skills. We also need you to be
proactive and organised as you will be working to strict legal deadlines. What separates us from our competitors is the

results. We think passion, personality and originality are just as important. You will need:112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an
equivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish
Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level). Please note, RSM does not accept
