Nessa is a new neighbourhood bar & restaurant in Soho, on the corner of Brewer and Warwick Street led by Executive Chef Tom Cenci. We pride ourselves in serving seasonal classic dishes with creative twists. The Role
We are now seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to join our team at Nessa. As the Restaurant Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operations of the Restaurant floor. You will ensure exceptional customer service, coordinate with staff members, and maintain a positive and productive work environment. You will report to the Restaurant General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Provide strong leadership and guidance to the restaurant floor staff
Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and exceed guest expectations.
Coordinate and manage restaurant floor operations during shifts, ensuring prompt seating, accurate order taking, efficient food delivery, and overall guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication, timely food preparation, and accurate order delivery.
Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution and customer satisfaction.
Assist with the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new restaurant floor staff members.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members, recognizing and addressing areas for improvement.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and quality of service.
Monitor inventory levels of supplies, including tableware, condiments, and other operational items, and coordinate with the appropriate departments for replenishment.
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events to drive customer traffic and revenue.
Adhere to financial targets and budgets, optimizing costs and expenses while maintaining high service standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitors, making recommendations to improve the restaurant's performance and customer experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Floor Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with staff and customers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as require
