Reed Secure is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutions for security cleared professionals. We require a Resourcing Specialist to cover an existing workload within Greater London Authority (GLA), based in Kamal Chunchie Way (Hybrid working). This is an interim position for an initial 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload. Job Purpose:
Busy post-election recruiting period-significantly high amount of recruitment needs expected across the organisation at very short notice.Will be supporting in the exec board space. Expecting significant recruitment post-election within that area. (There are 30 different boards that sit under the mayor made up of over 300 board members).Share strategic ideas and talk confidently in a room full of very senior stakeholders.Will need to provide high level updates to senior staff at short notice.Work as part of the Strategic Resourcing and Talent Team to provide a comprehensive service to managers and staff across the GLA in recruitment and retention of staff.Provide expert advice on resourcing options, recruitment schedules and methods, job advertisements, application forms, selection processes (including assessment centres and testing), interview questions and appointment procedures.Select and deliver a range of attraction methodologies including internal / external events that meet the standards for diversity and fair access of opportunities whilst ensuring cost effective sourcing of quality and relevant candidates?Support the GLA resourcing advisor who manages the end-to-end recruitment cycle for executive and Board roles, working with Executive Search firms, where applicable. Work to agreed recruitment targets/ KPIs in doing so. Skills and experience needed to be successful in this role:
Recent resourcing / recruitment experience within the public sector (local or central government, civil service).Must be experienced in a strategic resourcing role with experience in public sector.Must have significant recruitment experience.Must be confident to sit in high level meetings with extremely senior stakeholders such as Chief of Staff and mayors’ office and have articulate conversations in a confident manner.Political experience / knowledge would be helpful due to the complexities around it.Experience of delivering inclusive recruitment practices.CIPD would be beneficial but not essential, would prefer for them to have hands on experience over a qualification. This role offers a competitive salary of £31.39 per hour PAYE / £42.04 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) and you’ll be working via Reed who offer great benefits such as discounts, cashback offers and more as well as weekly pay.
