An prominent law firm in Birmingham City Centre is hiring for an Residential Conveyancing Practice Assistant to join their modern and slick Birmingham City Centre office. This will be office based and then it would turn to hybrid after probation with excellent benefits and a great progression structure!

A main part of this role would be being a first point of call to the team to assist with new client enquires and it is essential to have experience and confidence in speaking with new clients and having detailed conversations about their enquiries in full detail.

The role is very varied and the list of duties would include:

* Becoming an active part in the care of clients and dealing with queries

* Taking and making client related calls

* Manage the production of documents and check work produced for accuracy and formatting

* Opening and closing files and supervising general filing requirements and recordkeeping

* Monitoring key dates for clients and compliance procedures are up to date on potential matters

* Supporting fee earners with pitches and presentations

* Organising of internal and external events, seminars and conferences

* Managing diaries and ensuring they are up to date

* Receiving instructions via digital dictation for tasks

* Assisting for client and event billing and credit control process

* Responsible for complex billing and ensuring bills are prepared including requesting cheques, bank transfers, and paying in money received

The ideal candidate would have had client facing experience in a professional corporate setting, with billing experience and residential conveyancing experience also.
