Our client is looking for a Residential Children's Team Leader in Bridgewater to work with other professionals to achieve the best outcome for young people. If you are a dedicated Team Leader or wanting to take the next step in your career as a Team Leader, this may be the job for you!Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that each member of staff is aware of each child's care plan and their responsibilities for its implementation.
* Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people.
* Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model
* Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place.
* Chairing children's meetings and facilitating consultation with young people generally.
* Offering 1:1 supervision to staff in line with National Minimum Standards
* Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development.
* Supervision of new starters during their probationary period
* Undertaking management investigations when required
* To assist the Registered Manager and/or the Deputy Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of PurposeHours, Compensation, and Interview Process:
* Contracted for 39 hours per week, with overtime paid at time and a quarter.
* Salary depends on experience and qualifications £13.40-£14.22 plus extra rate on sleep-ins.
* Shifts - 1 on 2 off or 2 on 4 off, usually 7am-10pm followed by a sleep in and hand over at 7am
* £30 per sleep, hourly rate kicks back in if awoken for any reason.
* Initial interview conducted over Teams with the Home Manager, lasting approximately 40 minutes to an hour. Feedback provided same day or few days later.
* Successful candidates proceed to a 6-day induction across 5 areas. Travel, accommodation, and meals covered for candidates living over an hour away.
* Full payment for the 6-day induction in addition to the first month's pay.
* Full UK driving license.
* Must have 1 years' experience of looking after children.
