In addition to making a positive impact on the lives of our children, there are generous enhancements paid for evenings, weekend working, Bank Holidays and sleeping in duties, additional to your salary.
You will receive an additional salary enhancement of 30% after 8pm weekdays, 50% weekends and £40.80 per sleep in.
We can offer flexible working hours, whether you are looking for part time of full-time work which could fit around your personal lifestyle.
Ensuring the right staff are matched to the right child or young person is at the forefront of the services we deliver. You would have one stable base but from time to time your skills and approach may be required to support our other homes. Our homes are all close together and would not involve unreasonable travel considerations. About the job It is essential for this job to have proven experience of working with young people in a residential childcare setting.
You will be a vital part of a team providing a comprehensive service to young people.
To fulfil the requirements of this job it is necessary and essential that you have a full valid driving licence and be willing to drive with young people in a vehicle. We are looking to recruit to both full time and part time positions.It takes a special type of person to dedicate their career to supporting others. You need to be willing to learn and share experiences, skills and knowledge whilst also putting children and young people at the centre of your role.What We Are Looking For From YouAs a Residential Childcare Officer, you will play an essential part in providing direct care and effective support to young people to enable them to achieve positive outcomes in line with their childcare personal plan.Every day is different, and you will face new challenges, we need staff members with a can-do attitude, that are willing to go above and beyond for the young people in their care.We need our team to help recognise and promote young people’s individuality, uniqueness and diverse needs whilst providing a nurturing and positive environment.As part of the role, you will participate fully in the caring and supported living environment within the home which will involve household cleaning, maintenance, meal preparation and helping young people get around to events, activities, education, appointments, and meetings.You will actively support the education plans for children, which may include homework, revision, project work and other educational activities.
