About the Role: As a Residential Child Care Worker, you'll work alongside a dedicated team, building long-lasting relationships with children and young people. Your responsibilities include accompanying them to and from school or college, facilitating family contact, creating a warm and comforting environment, organizing activities and outings, and providing support in daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Residential Child Care is advantageous, but transferable skills are equally valued.
  • A dedicated and resilient approach with a caring and nurturing nature.
  • Full, valid UK driving license for manual vehicles is essential.

What We Offer:

  • Starting salary ranging from �30,559.00 to �31,212.00 per annum, dependent on experience.
  • Full-time roles operate on a rota pattern of one day on (24 hours including sleepover) and two days off (48 hours), totaling an average of 56.4 hours per week.
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave per annum.
  • Funding for Level 3 SVQ/NVQ qualification in Residential Child Care.

Essential Qualities:

  • Highly responsible and accountable for safeguarding children and young people.
  • Interest in pursuing relevant child care qualifications and training.
  • Resilient, patient, and nurturing with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT and experienced in using Microsoft packages.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults.
  • Working towards or desire to obtain SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies' Codes of Practice.
  • Existing PVG/DBS certificate.
