Resident Engineer

Our client, a leading company in the Utilities and Highway sector, is seeking a Resident Engineer to join their team. This is a contract role that involves client side supervision of all strategic infrastructure, including bridges, highways, utilities, and drainage. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations as well as overseeing construction in accordance with the design. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate with a background in Section 278 and project management.

• Supervise the construction of strategic infrastructure projects, including bridges, highways, utilities, and drainage
• Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients
• Monitor construction progress and quality to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Prepare regular reports on project status and provide updates to the client

• Significant experience in Section 278 and project management
• Certification from the Construction Industry Training Board (CSCS or similar)
• Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
